I guess I must have been a good boy this year!
Such wonderful surprises!
I’m truly grateful for having such a loving partner and an amazing family… and of course, their wonderful surprises.

My apologies for the lack of updates in the last few weeks. It has been pretty hectic as of late — a few parties and dinners to go to and a number of last minute things to do for the holidays. I just want to take this time to wish you all a very merry Christmas. May it be filled with love, peace and happiness… from our house to yours.
Sincerely,
Ernskie
I finally got my hands on the fall-winter 2010 issue of Le Monde d’Hermès and the cover is certainly striking.
This issue is black.
Because black throws colour into relief.
Because the black of the night is the perfect setting for dreams and mystery.
Because it is where great adventures begin.
A deep night from which we can draw the energy
to keep renewing ourselves.
For Jean-Louis Dumas, that permanent inventiveness lay at
the very heart of Hermès.
The intricate illustrations on the front and back covers including the font were printed in shimmering gold against a matte black background. It is definitely a gorgeous cover. Flipping through the pages, there were a number of interesting articles to read but before that, of course I had to look at the photos in greater detail and show you some that I like.
For the men: East Enders
For the women: On Her Majesty’s Service
Accessories: Interesting pieces
“Kelly” retourné 35 So-Black bag in black boxcalf
“Kelly Pluch” 40 bag in natural/sand sheepskin
“Collier de chien” bracelet in rose gold and brown diamonds
A stack of blankets and scarves
To accompany these photos, here is a short video clip that highlights the fall-winter 2010 collection.
Enjoy!
Restoration Hardware has finally arrived in Edmonton and yesterday was the grand opening. I took a couple of snapshots of the event with my iPhone so pardon the blurry pictures.
It is also the first store in Canada that was built as a design gallery from the ground up unlike other stores that just got renovated recently.
As one of our favourite stores to shop for furniture, garden, and home accessories, we often drove to Calgary since it opened a couple of years ago. So you can just imagine how happy we were when they opened a store here. And best of all, it’s only about 10 minutes away from us. Uh oh, on second thought, that may not be a good thing.
Anyway, if you’re like us who regularly receive their catalogue, you’ll understand why we love everything in this store.
Let the holiday shopping begin!
