Is it cold yet?

Well, winter is just around the corner. Try as I might, I guess those shorts, summer shirts and flip-flops have to go back in the closet. Cranking up the heat in the house doesn’t cut it either when you want to curl up on the couch while reading a book.

Fine. I succumb to the cold. But not without a couple of my favourite things for fall and winter.

HermèsFall20091

It’s the classic Hermès Avalon blanket designed with the “H” monogram in two-tone gray and red accents.

I love how the edges are hand-rolled and finished off with a red wool thread sewn by hand.

The blanket is made in Scotland using the finest wool and cashmere. Them Scots know a thing or two about spinning and weaving wool.

And it’s reversible too! Light gray on one side and dark gray on the other.

It’s certainly making me feel all warm and cozy already. Now all I need is a cup of steaming hot chocolate.

Oh yes! I almost forgot. I did say a couple of favourites, right?

OK, another orange box.

Here they are. My Hermès shearling gloves in gray colour.

I love the small black leather detail with buckle that forms the “H” around the sides of the wrists.

Aahhh, a few things in life that makes fall and winter more cozy, comfortable and definitely enjoyable.

I guess I better go and make myself that hot chocolate.

No need for intervention. I can handle it. See? My hands aren’t shaking!
