Yup! I was hibernating all this time.
Actually, I’ve been pretty busy these past few days but I might as well be hibernating. It has been very cold for so long in my neck of the woods that these pictures started circulating in e-mails.
I really don’t like to complain about the weather (well, I do) since it’s a fact of life here but this is just getting to be too much. Just look at this week’s forecast:
The funny thing is, I found this image after checking the forecast for this week. A talented fellow Edmontonian, David Knudsen, who probably lives around my neighbourhood, built his first igloo in their backyard with the help of his four-year old son. Very impressive, isn’t it?
I guess I just have to keep on looking at the bright side — cashmere scarves, down-feather parkas and a cup of hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream or mini marshmallows.

Face it Ernskie, you live in a very Siberia-like part of the country. Whenever I feel depressed about the weather, I always check out Edmonton’s weather forecast, as it always cheers me up and makes me feel better about my own…
I am a bit jealous of the igloo though…
Oh I know Deb. Although, when I also need some cheering up I just think of the time I was in Vancouver and it was winter. It was interesting to watch Vancouverites go in a panic mode as soon as the snow started falling.
It is a very nice igloo. I am kind of jealous too.
