That, was the question.
Actually, I knew I eventually had to deal with it and I thought I was sure I was going to use it. Then, as soon as I had to go, I just found out there is almost always toilets labelled as “western style”. It was such a relief!
I actually gave it a thought to try one but as soon as I got into one, I looked at it and I didn’t know where to start. I got to as far as knowing where to face because of the obvious placement of the toilet paper. But alas, that was the end of it.
Too much details. I know. I’ll stop there.
Anyhoo, I’ll just move on to talking about the mac daddy of them all. It’s called a “washlet.” In case you’re wondering what that thing is on top of the tank, it really is a sink and faucet.
The faucet automatically turns on when the toilet is flushed allowing you to wash your hands. Instead of going down the drain, the water is collected in the tank to be used the next time you flush. Pretty ingenious, isn’t it?
It really is a true environment-friendly toilet, even with all the bells and whistles — bidet, “butt shower” and heated seat (yes, you heard that right!). There’s even some that open and close the cover and the seat automatically with the push of a button.
I want one. No, I NEED one!
