Holiday greetings from Hermès

One day I was looking forward to it and all of a sudden, poof, it’s over. It’s time to put away all the holiday decorations and take out the tree. Everything is back to normal as usual.

Christmas 20091

Until the next Christmas!

Anyhoo, imagine my surprise when I received this greeting in my e-mail from Hermès a few days ago. The illustration was done by Philippe Dumas who is also a designer of many Hermès scarves. I love pop-up books and cards so I was really delighted to see this. ‘Tales to be told‘ may be the theme for 2010?

However, as nice as it is, it still will never replace the hand-written cards I received from loved ones and friends. There’s just something about the ink on paper that always warm the heart.

I keep them all.

I always look forward to getting greeting cards, postcards and letters in the mail.

I think we should stop e-mailing each other and just correspond using the Royal Mail from now on.

Sure, send me some more beautiful cards! Remember, it has to be hand-written though.
